里约奥运会赛程已经过半了，虽然场馆、裁判等事情还是有不少吐槽，但高水平奥运标志的比赛依旧为大家带来了一场场视觉盛宴，而奥运标志我们也变奥运标志的更看重运动员在赛场上的拼搏精神，而不是依旧以金牌论英雄。
今天，天才君不和大家谈关于比赛的事情，我和大家聊一聊奥运会logo的话题。其实，奥运会的logo有很丰富的含义，每届奥运会的logo都是设计师倾注了很大的心血在里面的。
正好，前不久美国平面设计协会AIGA邀请美国平面设计大师Milton Glaser（就是著名的“I?New York”那个logo的设计者）对历届奥运会徽进行了一次评分和点评。
Glaser的点评十分犀利。他评价最高的是1964年东京奥运会的logo：
觉得它简洁有力，表达清晰。

Paris – Summer Olympics 1924
1924年 巴黎夏季奥运会
Bad beginning, the elements are unrelated visually and the imagery is confusing.
糟糕的开端，各种元素在视觉上缺乏关联，画面混乱。
The surprinted lettering is unreadable.
印在表面的文字也很难辨认。
评分：20分
Los Angeles – Summer Olympics 1932
1932年 洛杉矶夏季奥运会
A visual disaster; combining the rings, a laurel leaf and the American shield in an overlapping pattern is impossible.
简直视觉灾难。把五环、月桂还有美国盾牌叠加在一起，太不可取。
The typography goes on its own unrelated way.
字体设计自成一派，毫无关联。
评分：25分
Berlin – Summer Olympics 1936
1936年 柏林夏季奥运会
Strange and lacking focus.
奇怪且缺少焦点。
The Olympic rings become subordinated to the eagle and bell forms.
奥运五环变成了鹰和铃铛的附属。
The spirit of the Olympics is totally absent.
奥运精神完全缺席。
评分：20分
London – Summer Olympics 1948
1948年 伦敦夏季奥运会
This logo reveals that not all images will work together. The rings and parliament remain unrelated.
这个logo告诉我们，并不是把各种影像放在一起就能有效果。五环和议会大厦仍然毫无关联。
The typography is sad.
字体设计太悲催。
评分：37分
Helsinki – Summer Olympics 1952
1952年 赫尔辛基夏季奥运会
The peculiarity between the architecture and the rings in this case becomes strangely memorable.
这幢建筑和五环的怪异组合让人过目难忘。
At best it is clear. The combination of blue and white is pleasant.
至少它看起来很清晰，蓝白的组合很舒服。
评分：40分
Melbourne and Stockholm – Summer Olympics 1956
1956年 墨尔本和斯德哥尔摩夏季奥运会
Resembles a bookplate more than an Olympic event.
像一张藏书票而不是奥运赛事的logo。
Too many elements involved; the torch, the continent, the rings, the lozenge, and laurel leaves. Too much of everything.
元素太多了：火炬、大陆、五环、菱形、月桂。每样东西都太多了。
评分：35分
Rome – Summer Olympics 1960
1960年 罗马夏季奥运会
Combining the symbol of Rome, the date and the rings in a single sculptural image works here.
把罗马的标志、日期和五环融合在一个类似雕塑的图像中，看起来很不错。
It has strength and memorability.
充满力度，让人过目不忘。
评分：80分
Mexico – Summer 1968
1968年 墨西哥夏季奥运会
The graphic idea is strong, but the detail of execution creates an illegible element where the 68 engage the Olympic rings.
整体的平面设计感很强，68和五环叠在一起的细节部分有些难以辨识。
On the other hand, there is a visual excitement here.
除此之外，视觉上还是很让人很兴奋的。
评分：80分
Munich – Summer 1972
1972年 慕尼黑夏季奥运会
This graphic icon eliminates all the historical references of the Olympics, most notably the rings.
这个平面设计把以往和奥运有关的元素都抹掉了，最突出的是，连五环都没有了。
It is a powerful abstraction, but could be used for almost any event.
这是一个很有力度的抽象形象，但几乎可以用在任何一个活动中。
Because it seems unfocused on expressing the Olympics it’s hard to relate its effectiveness.
因为它似乎并不聚焦于表达奥运主题，所以很难说它是否有效传达了信息。
评分：50分
Montreal – Summer 1976
1976年 蒙特利尔夏季奥运会
In this case the rings have been transformed into the initial ‘M’ for Montreal.
这里的五环变形成了蒙特利尔的首字母“M”。
This fact is of course impossible to understand by virtue of the logo itself. Does it matter if you can see the ‘M’? I think not.
当然光从logo本身来看，是很难看明白的。能认出来中间有个“M”很重要吗？我不这么觉得。
Nevertheless the mark is professional and clear.
不管怎样，这个设计还是很专业而且很清晰的。
Perhaps more appropriate for a manufacturer of paper towels.
也许更适合纸巾生产企业。

Moscow – Summer 1980
1980年 莫斯科夏季奥运会
The Russian tower topped by a star and supported by the rings create an attenuated and unusual image.
俄罗斯塔顶着一颗星星，底部以五环支撑着，呈现出一种渐细的、不寻常的画面。
The typography is clearly added on, unrelated to the image. Not very successful.
字体显然是生硬地加上去的，和图像之间毫无关系。不是很成功。
评分：40分
Los Angeles – Summer 1984
1984年 洛杉矶夏季奥运会
The moving stars is effectively done and unexpected. The other elements are directly added and do not feel out of place.
这个动态效果的星星做得不错，出乎意料。其他的元素是直接添加进去的，倒也不觉得格格不入。
评分：80分
Seoul – Summer 1988
1988年 汉城夏季奥运会
Although the mark is unfamiliar, it has significant impact and relates to the rings below.
虽然这个图形有些陌生感，但是冲击力很强，而且和下面的五环很搭。
As a result, the entire visualization feels harmonious.
所以整体视觉效果看起来很和谐。
评分：75分
Barcelona – Summer 1992
1992年 巴塞罗那夏季奥运会
This mark is unexpectedly convincing. The 3 strokes representing the human figure have a good scale relationship to the word ‘Barcelona ’92’ and the rings.
这个标志出人意料地有说服力。三个笔画代表的人形，与文字“Barcelona ’92”和五环的比例得当。
评分：85分
Atlanta – Summer 1996
1996年 亚特兰大夏季奥运会
After one deduces that the image is of a Greek column supporting firey stars, the feeling remains that the attempt is too clever for its own good.
在推理出这个意象是希腊柱托举着一个火焰星星之后，我们仍然觉得整个设计聪明过头了。
Finally it doesn’t hold together as a single experience.
而且整体感也不是很强。
评分：60分
Sydney – Summer 2000
2000年 悉尼夏季奥运会
The gestural quality of the drawing and the typography makes the entire mark feel harmonious.
这个绘画和字体的姿态感，使整个会徽看起来很和谐。
评分：78分
Athens – Summer 2004
2004年 雅典夏季奥运会
The olive branch representing the games is executed in a fresh and unexpected way.
代表奥运的橄榄枝设计得非常清新，出人意料。
Because it looks less like a corporate logo, we feel more affectionate toward it.
它看起来更不像一个公司标志，容易让人产生亲切感。
The blue feels right reflecting both the event and Athens at the same time.
用蓝色来代表了奥运和雅典，很合适。
评分：90分
Beijing – Summer 2008
2008年 北京夏季奥运会
The brush like quality of white figure on the red field and the lettering both convey the sense of Chinese calligraphy.
红底上的白色人形以及字体带有毛笔笔触，传达出中国书法的感觉。
The elements work together without difficulty.
所有元素很自然地融合在一起，不拧巴。
评分：85分
London – Summer 2012
2012年 伦敦夏季奥运会
Like all transgressions, this treatment causes controversy.
像所有不同寻常的设计一样，这一设计造成了一些争议。
As an assembly of forms, I find it unattractive. But, because of its aggression, it persists in memory.
作为一个组合图形，我觉得它不好看。但因为其强势的形象，却也让人难以忘记。
It raises the old question of the struggle between novelty and familiarity.
这又是新鲜感和亲和感之间的艰难抉择的老问题了。
评分：80分
Rio – Summer 2016
2016年 里约夏季奥运会
A presentation that looks fresh and contemporary.
这个形象看起来很清新也很现代。
The athletes joining hands at the top are executed in a way that works well with the other elements.
上面三个牵着手的运动员的设计和其他元素很和谐。
It feels like something new.
看起来耳目一新。
评分：85分
